Jean-Paul Vis (1973) In the early 80’s, inspired by the Ferry Maat SoulShow, Avro’s Driemaal Doordraai, Peter Slaghuis and Ben Liebrand.
Later on, after a lot of practicing, he started with his own mixes, trying to get the best result possible… several mixes were finally broadcast on Avro, Tros and Veronica radio.
A few years later, he started on the next step. Besides mixing other peoples’ tracks, he decided to start recording and producing his own tracks…

Jean-Paul is the driving force behind the hit single : ‘It’s A Love Thang’, peformed by The Nightgroovers, which reached no. 66 of the Dutch top 100. Embraced by national Radio 3FM and played in clubs all over the world by DJs such as Jean, Erick.E and, last but not least, Mousse T. and David Morales…(this track was also used in the succesfull Dutch film ‘Costa’)
Powell ‘I Am Ready’… a big club hit in Belgium, France, Italy and Germany (licenced in Germany by Alphabet City). This song was played loads of times by Judge Jules on the BBC One and by a lot of other big names all over the world…
Collage ‘Watchalike’…was hammered in England by Judge Jules in December 2000. (Lube)
The 2001 version (re-released by United recordings!) contains a brand-new remix of the huge original version, supported by Judge Jules (again!!!) , Paul van Dyk, Johan Gielen (Recorded vol. 2) and lots of others…
Besides producing his own tracks, JP sometimes joined hands with other producers.
